Overview
In Pakistan, trophy hunting for Himalayan ibex is a strictly regulated, strenuous activity that also serves as a community-based conservation project. In the northern parts of the country, the programs significant fees are used to support local communities while enabling the ethical hunting of mature, post-breeding male ibex. This directly connects the preservation of wildlife with financial gains, providing villagers with a strong incentive to save the ibex and its habitat.
